Geely has started selling the Haoyue L in China, an updated and stretched variant of its Haoyue SUV. Per AutoHome, the off-roader starts from 127,900 Yuan (US$ 18,400). Earlier rumors said it would cost 150,000 Yuan or higher.
The soft-roader is 4,860 x 1,910 x 1,770
mm large (L/W/H) with 2,825 mm between the axles. Its design changes make it
slightly larger than the predecessor. The front fascia looks especially fresh
with an impressively large radiator grille, bumper with enlarged air intakes
and more up-to-date headlights.
Inside, the dash panel is rather laconic
and the center tunnel only offers a bare minimum of hardware controls. The
digital dash display stands apart from a 12.3-inch head unit. The car is a
seven-seater by design with no other options, and all three seats in the back
row support individual adjustments for comfort. You can also fold them down
when not used to carry larger items around in the trunk.
The new Haoyue has independent suspension
on both axles and comes powered exclusively by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder
engine rated at 218 PS and 325 Nm of torque.
Driving the front wheels is a seven-speed DCT box, and getting from zero to 100
km/h takes 7.9 seconds.
