Rezvani Motors will present its outlandish Cadillac Escalade-based Vengeance to the public for the first time at Barrett-Jackson’s forthcoming Scottsdale auction. The niche coachbuilder first unveiled the Vengeance in October last year and while it is based on the Escalade, it has undergone so many modifications that it is essentially unrecognizable. It looks more like a vehicle designed for the next moon landing than one that can actually be driven on the road.

Every single body panel of the Vengeance is new. The changes start at the front end where there are new headlights and LED daytime running lights, a a rugged bumper with tow hooks, and an outlandish hood with four prominent lights up front. Rezvani’s designers have also crafted distinctive flared fenders for the SUV so it could bolt on 22-inch wheels with 35-inch off-road tires.

The rear half of the Vengeance is particularly dramatic as the side windows have been removed, an LED light bar installed, and a completely new rear fascia fitted. The Vengeance clearly isn’t for anyone who wants to slide under the radar.

Those looking to pick up the keys to a Vengeance can choose between three different powertrains. The first is a 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 with 420 hp and 623 Nm while also on offer is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that is rated at 277 hp and 623 Nm. Rounding out the available options is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 690 hp and 911 Nm of torque, slightly more than the 682 hp and 884 Nm of the Escalade-V.

Prices for the Rezvani Vengeance start at an eye-watering US$ 249,000.
