Suzuki has come to the Auto Expo in India with a coupe-like crossover named the Fronx. It will initially go on domestic sale in April, but will later be exported into Latin America and Africa as well.
From the technical point of view, the car
is closely related to the Baleno hatchback updated less than a year ago. Both
have identical wheelbase length of 2,520 mm and matching
interiors. The nose and tail are all the Fronx can show for being any different
from the Baleno.
Buyers get an infotainment system with
seven inches of screen real estate (nine inches in the top trim), a heads-up
display, a wireless charger, six airbags, an Arkamys audio system and a
surround view camera system.
The base spec comes with a 1.2-liter
naturally aspirated engine rated at 90 PS and 113 Nm of torque. The only alternative so far is a mild hybrid producing 100 PS and 148 Nm from a turbo three-pot. The drive is on the
front axle.
