Japanese tuner DAMD produced quite a few body kits for the Suzuki Jimny over the past few years, and has now announced three more. All parts are designed to make the baby SUV look like a downsized Mercedes-Benz G-Class, but the details and overall styling vary from kit to kit. The cars will be present at the upcoming 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon. As you may have heard, the Suzuki Jimny visual overhaul by DAMD is called ‘Little G’. That’s true, but the name no longer refers to any specific body kit – it now denotes a whole series of styling solutions.
For example, there’s the Little G
Traditional, which comes with unpainted body décor, new bumpers and different
lights all around. It also contains new stamped wheels and a roof rack with an
access ladder. The resulting impression is that of an older Mercedes G-Class. The
Little G Advance aspires to look like the sporty G-Class AMG. To that end, it
sports an AMG-style radiator grille with vertical bars and a front bumper with
large fake air intakes. New taillights further the impression.
And then there’s the Little G Aventura, a
Jimny for adventure-loving enthusiasts. It has much in common with the
Traditional version, including large side mirrors and a roof access ladder on
the tailgate. However, it also sports distinct rims shod in BFGoodrich tires, a
spare wheel hinged to the tailgate, and a beefier expedition rack. It is also
the only SUV of the three to have body-matched fender flares. All three
modifications come with the G-Class signature hood-mounted turn indicators.
DAMD has other styling options in stock
for the Jimny as well. A couple years ago, the company stylized it to resemble
the classic Ford Bronco and the first-generation Jimny.
