The o work its magic on the car. As we have come to expect from the German tuner, its upgrades for the M3 Touring encompass both performance and visual changes.
Much like it has done with the M3 sedan,
AC Schnitzer has a tune available for the M3 Touring that increases power from
503 hp and 650 Nm of torque to 582 hp and 750 Nm.
Should customers want some additional grunt, they can have the car equipped
with a 602 hp and 750 Nm tune.
Next, the tuner has developed a
performance exhaust system for the M3 Touring that adds new quad exhausts with
carbon fiber tailpipes. The suspension has also been upgraded, lowering the
ride height at the front by between 15 and 20 mm with the tuner’s standard
spring kit. The rear is not lowered. Owners can alternatively opt for the RS
coilover suspension with adjustable low speed and high speed compression,
rebound, and adjustable lowering settings.
Then we get to the visual changes. These
comprise a host of aerodynamic tweaks and start with a black front splitter and
canards on either side of the bumper. AC Schnitzer has also added some small
deflectors to the hood. Other highlights include revised side skirts,
deflectors on the front fenders, a roof spoiler that adds 20 kg of
downforce, and a carbon fiber diffuser.
Two wheel designs are available for the M3
Touring. The first is known as the AC3 and are available in Silver/Anthracite
or Anthracite/Silver and measure 20×10 at all four corners. The second option
is the AC1 wheels offered in the same colors but with a different spoke design.
They too measure 20×10 inches. Rounding out the upgrades are a series of
interior tweaks, including a new sports steering wheel, aluminum paddle
shifters, and aluminum pedals.
