The Range Rover Sport SVR holds a special place in the company’s lineup and the automaker is putting the finishing touches on a redesigned model. Expected to debut later this year, the 2024 Range Rover Sport SVR follows in the footsteps of the latest SUV but adopts a lightly revised front end. Camouflage hides many of the changes, but we can get a glimpse of the aggressive front bumper that features pronounced air intakes with honeycomb mesh inserts. Previous spy photos have also shown a revised grille and a sporty splitter.
The rest of the model largely carries
over, but we can see sizable wheels that are backed up by a high-performance
braking system with large front discs. Out back, there’s a revised rear end
with a four-tailpipe exhaust system featuring circular tips.
spy photographers didn’t get a look
inside, but we can expect to find carbon fiber trim, alloy pedals, and SVR
badging. They should be joined by a
13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch Pivi Pro infotainment
system.
While the standard Range Rover Sport is no
slouch, the SVR variant is expected to kick things up a notch with a twin-turbo
4.4-liter V8 engine sourced from BMW. In
the 2024 X5 M Competition, it produces 617 hp and 749 Nm of torque. This enables the
model to rocket from 0-96 km/h in 3.7 seconds, before hitting a top
speed of up to 284 km/h.
