Just over a year ago, Hyundai launched a sporty N Line trim for the Creta in Brazil and now the automaker is back with a dark-themed special edition. The Hyundai Creta N Line Night Edition is limited to 900 units exclusively for the Brazilian market, combining stealthy looks with generous equipment and the most powerful available engine in the SUV’s local lineup. The Night Edition builds on the sporty bodykit of the Hyundai Creta N Line which includes unique bumpers with a wider grille, bonnet scoop, and a diffuser. The difference here is that the chrome elements are gone, and everything is painted black including the badges. The SUV also gets a new set of black 18-inch alloy wheels with N emblems on the hubcaps. The same theme is applied to the smoker headlight and taillight clusters, while the only shiny bit is the dual exhaust pipes.

Moving inside, the highlight is the eight-speaker Bose premium sound system which is exclusively available in the Night Edition, and the numbered door sills from 001 to 900. The rest is carried over from the regular N Line, including the black upholstery with red stitching, the glossy black accents, a healthy dose of N emblems, the panoramic sunroof, etc. There is also auto air conditioning, a ventilated driver’s seat, six airbags, and the Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite.

 

Under the bonnet lies the naturally aspirated 2.0 SmartStream flex-fuel engine producing 167 hp and 202 Nm of torque when burning LPG, or 157 hp when burning regular petrol. Note that while this powertrain was already available in the Creta, the N Line only came with the turbocharged 1.0-liter. Like in the aforementioned unit, power is transmitted to the front axle exclusively through a six-speed automatic gearbox.

As with other Hyundai models, the N Line badge is not limited to aesthetics, as the engineers have tweaked the suspension and steering setup, improving the driving dynamics of the SUV. The special edition is available to pre-order in Brazil starting today. Pricing starts from R$ 181,490 (US$ 34,448) which represents a premium of R$ 14,500 (US$ 2,775) compared to the regular Creta N Line. Note that the Brazilian-spec Hyundai Creta looks different than the Indonesian-spec that appeared back in 2021 with a Tucson-inspired face. Still, the market-specific Creta N Line in the Night Edition flavor is probably the most attractive version of the SUV model – at least in our eyes.
