VinFast has announced plans to begin deliveries of the VF 9 in Vietnam later this month. Delivery events are slated to take place in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City on March 27 and continue at other stores across the country in the following days. VinFast didn’t say how many vehicles it intends to handover but suggested their export plans will be announced shortly. The first VF 9s will be equipped with a 92 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that develops a combined output of 402 hp and 620 Nm of torque. VinFast says the crossover can go from a 10% to 70% charge in as little as 26 minutes and should have a WLTP range of up to 438 km.
The three-row crossover offers heated,
ventilated, and massaging front seats as well as a 15.6-inch infotainment
system and an 8-inch display for second-row passengers. Other highlights include a panoramic glass
roof, a head-up display, and an assortment of driver assistance systems.
While there’s no word on when deliveries
will begin in America, the US-spec crossover is slated to start at US$ 83,000 and
have a larger 123 kWh battery pack. This
promises to allow for a longer WLTP range of approximately 594 km,
although it’s worth noting the VF 8 City Edition offers a disappointing EPA
range of 333 km.
