Mazda is giving the black-on-black design packages a rest with the Carbon Turbo edition that will be available on select 2024 models. The upscale trim offers beige paint, special wheels, and a number of other features. The Carbon Turbo package will be available exclusively on the 2024 Mazda3, CX-30, and CX-5. In addition, buyers will only be able to equip it on vehicles powered by the Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine that produces 250 hp and 434 Nm of torque when running on 93 octane fuel.
That ensures that the car will have the
performance its customers desire, Mazda says. In order to guarantee that it
also has the styling, the automaker is painting the Carbon Turbo vehicles with
an exclusive Zircon Sand Metallic paint color. The paint color will be
complemented by gloss black exterior trim on the side mirrors and front grille.
In addition, the vehicles will get aluminum alloy wheels with a black metallic
finish to really round out the look.
Inside, buyers will find a blend of
premium materials that include black suede, as well as terracotta and gunmetal
accents to give them “a timeless feel that still appeals to the modern world.”
If the Carbon Turbo trim sounds a little familiar to you, that’s because it
joins the Carbon Edition trim that is available on vehicles such as the CX-30.
That package includes Polymetal Gray paint, black mirrors and black aluminum
wheels. It gets a slightly sportier interior with red leather seats.
Pricing for the Carbon Turbo Mazda3,
CX-30, and CX-5 will be announced later this year, when details regarding the
rest of the model lineups are made available.
