The Chery eQ7, under the Chinese NEV (New Energy Vehicle) branding, was technically introduced during the Shanghai Auto Show 2023, but only now the company is sharing more information along with official photos of the eQ7. The EV is positioned as a medium-sized family SUV weighing around 1,850 kg and runs on a rear-mounted electric motor (meaning RWD) that's rated at 155 kW. The motor uses oil coolant and the car offers four driving modes, three steering modes and 2 braking modes. It can reach up to 180 km/h. As far as dimensions go, the vehicle measures 4,675 mm x 1,910 mm x 1,660 mm in size and features a 2,830 mm wheelbase.
The Chery bets on a minimalist, futuristic
interior with plenty of ambient LED lighting supporting 64 colors, while the
materials used feature white, black and blue tones. The dashboard includes two
big screens and a CN95 air filter system with fragrance and AQS air quality
management. The vehicle's supports Level 2 intelligent driving assistance.
The Chery eQ7 is supposed to launch in Q3
this year and depending on the configuration, the estimated price point will
vary between RMB 150,000 (€ 19.365) and RMB 200,000 (€ 25,840).
