The BMW XM is the flagship SUV of the Bavarian automaker so it was about time that tuners took notice, making it even more eye-catching. Dubai-based Renegade Design revealed a carbon-fiber bodykit for the XM, announcing a limited production of 10 units for the first batch. The bodykit doesn’t deviate much from the stock BMW design but adds more prominent aero components and replaces the stock trim pieces with new ones made of carbon fiber. At the front, there is a generously-sized hood cover, a splitter, plus new inserts on the intakes and around the illuminated kidney grille.
The profile is upgraded with wider
fenders, aerodynamic side skirts, mirror covers, and side moldings, while the
owner has the option of adding larger forged wheels for a sportier stance.
Finally, the tail gets carbon fiber on the spoiler, around the reflectors, and
on the diffuser, with the latter featuring an F1-style brake light.
Each bodykit will be handcrafted and
individually numbered. Renegade Design offers a wide range of personalization
options including different carbon finishes and colors. The most powerful XM
Label Red has a combined output of 738 hp and 997
Nm of torque from its twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 and single electric motor.
The tuner announced they already accept
pre-orders for the kit, although pricing wasn’t made public. Despite the fact
that all of the images and videos depict renderings, Renegade Design suggests
that the actual production has already started. The first shipments are
scheduled to commence by the end of September.
