Chery will start shipping the Explore 06 in China on August 20, 2023. The trim levels and the respective pricing remain to be revealed officially, but the full spec sheet has already leaked online. According to it, the crossover SUV will be available in four variants priced from 100,000 to 140,000 Chinese Yuan.
Regardless of your trim choice, the car
will arrive with a 1.6-liter engine rated at 197 PS and 290
Nm of torque mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Still, if you would like AWD, you will need to get one of the two top trims.
These sport a distinct front bumper and a different radiator grille pattern, as
well as large ‘CHERY’ lettering on the tailgate that the lower trims do not
have.
The entry-priced Explore 06
still offers a lot. It rides on 18-inch wheels, has six airbags, a panoramic
glass roof and a multimedia system running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155
chipset with a 12.3-inch display. A reversing camera and a Sony audio system
are also included in the base trim, as is climate control.
Ticking all the boxes in the configurator
will get you surround view cameras, a wireless charger pad, ventilated seats, a
heads-up display and 19-inch wheels.
