Mercedes will have a busy booth over at Monterey this year, bringing new editions of the AMG GT and AMG SL to the show.
The AMG GT in particular is unexpected,
because earlier information suggested it would not debut until September. The
latest spin on the grand tourer has it putting on a long hood and a short,
fastback-style top. The seating formula is 2+2. The first production batch will
ship with a petrol V8 under the hood, with a plug-in hybrid spec scheduled to
follow it later.
As for the limited-run Mercedes-AMG SL,
there is zero information about it at this point. The latest SL-Class debuted in 2021 with a turbocharged four-pot for engine and an optional
V8.
