Judging by these photos posted on Kurdistan Automotive Blog, Toyota is getting a new modification of the recently facelifted Land Cruiser 70 ready to rumble. The SUV is targeted towards the Middle East markets where it is fairly popular and has only three doors in a special version dubbed Gulf Edition.
The person who took the photos claims they
were made at the Yoshiwara factory in Japan. Both the three-door and the
five-door variants are depicted. For the Middle Eastern spec of the Land
Cruiser 70, Toyota will likely keep the pre-facelift petrol V6 mill alive.
Coupled with an automatic transmission, it should produce around 320 horsepower. Other markets have gotten other options as well: for instance,
customers in Australia can get their SUV with a 4.5-liter diesel V8 pumping out
205 PS.
The updated Land Cruiser lineup debuted in
early August this year. The main novelty was a modern 2.8-liter four-cylinder
diesel engine with 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque.
