At this year’s State Fair of Texas, Toyota went above and beyond, building on its Tundra 1794 grade, with the 1794 Limited Edition model. Just 1,500 of these trucks will be made, and each will come with specially-designed leather accessories, made to match its interior. The 1794 grade is named in honor of the ranch on which Toyota’s San Antonio plant is built. The site of Tundra construction, it’s only appropriate that the truck’s major differentiator is the quality of its leather, since it was named after a ranch.
Toyota partnered with the Saddleback
Leather Company to upholster the interior of this truck, which features
messenger bag-style seat back pouches, a unique handle for the rear seat
armrest and more. In addition, customers will also get a set of Saddleback
Leather Company accessories that match the interior of the truck. These include
a large overnight bag, a tool roll, an owner’s portfolio, a key glove, and a
small pouch. Meeting the demands of both Toyota’s interior designers, and
Saddleback’s quality standards, was no mean feat.
In addition to these upgrades, the Tundra
1794 Limited Edition also gets an upgraded FOX suspension and off-road inspired
wheels and tires. The 2.5-inch diameter FOX internal bypass shocks provide the
truck with a 1.1-inch lift to improve its stance, and its off-road
capabilities. Outside, it gets a dark chrome grille and body side moldings,
blacked out accents, a unique stamped tailgate, and unique badges inside and out.
Toyota will offer the truck in four colors: Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black
Metallic, Blueprint, and Smoked Mesquite.
Under the hood, power comes from Toyota’s
I-Force Max powertrain that offers drivers 437 hp and 790 Nm of torque. The model also comes standard with the Crew Max cab,
all-wheel-drive, and the 5.5-foot bed. Toyota expects the 2024 Tundra 1794
Limited Edition to available in dealerships in the spring of 2024. Pricing has
not yet been revealed.
