MV Agusta is no stranger to the e-bike scene, thanks to its dedicated sub-brand, E-MV Agusta. However, the Cortina Edizione Limitata stands out in their line-up. Unlike its performance-focused siblings, this model is a lightweight commuter e-bike that combines practicality with an artistic flair.
The Cortina’s design is a blend of
functionality and elegance. Its frame, made from aluminum and carbon fiber, not
only ensures durability but also accommodates various rider sizes and cargo
needs. The aluminum tubing is sleek, adding to the bike’s overall aesthetic
appeal. Furthermore, the carbon fiber front fork contributes to its light
weight and precise handling.
Powering the Cortina is the Mahle X35
motor, a compact and efficient unit. This motor, integrated into the rear hub,
offers a perfect balance between size and performance. It delivers 250 watts of
power and 40 newton-meters of torque, making the ride smooth and enjoyable. The
bike’s battery is cleverly concealed within the motor’s housing, offering up to
75 kilometers of assistance per charge.
The bike’s weight, just 15.3 kilograms, is
impressive. This feat is achieved through the use of lightweight materials and
a compact powertrain. The bike is equipped with a 10-speed Shimano drivetrain
and Magura MT4 disc brakes, ensuring reliable performance. The Pirelli
Cinturato Gravel H tires are perfect for varied terrains and weather
conditions. Notably, the Cortina doesn’t just focus on performance; it also
boasts high-quality components like Ritchey leather grips and saddle, and a
CNC-milled stem and seatpost. Priced at around 3,800 euros (US$4,100), it
represents a significant investment in sustainable and stylish urban mobility.
