Opel has previewed the updated Vivaro van and released some more details. While still based on the EMP2 platform like its twin, Peugeot Traveller, it now looks more in line with the company’s own design language.

The front end now boasts the trademark Opel Vizor styling. Buyers can choose from two body lengths – 4.98 and 5.33 meters. There are also multiple designs on offer such as MPV, LCV, minibus and bare chassis.

Inside, everything looks identical to the recently refreshed Peugeot Traveller. This includes a digital dashboard, a 10-inch infotainment display, an up-to-date steering wheel, a digital rearview mirror and so on.

Those interested in a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain will be glad to know that this option hasn’t gone anywhere. It still churns out 136 PS and still yields 400 km (248 miles) of range with the tanks full and the battery charged. A battery-electric variant produces the same power, but has only 350 km of range on a full charge. Diesels are also available in the 120-177 PS range.
