The planned update of the Kia Sorento SUV debuted in South Korea first and later came to North America. The company has now officially confirmed its release in Europe. The exterior updates are largely the same as for the other markets: fang-shaped LED headlights, a new radiator grille and refreshed bumpers.
A single curved glass pane unites the
displays on the dash, and the air vents in the middle are not horizontal. The
climate control panel is new, and the same goes for the front seats. Feature-wise,
the car now has an auto-closing tailgate and a fingerprint scanner. Further
options include a heads-up display and an extended list of electronic assists.
The Euro-spec Kia Sorento utilizes a turbo
diesel engine rated at 194 PS. As an alternative, you could
consider one of the two available hybrids – HEV and PHEV. Both are based on the
same turbocharged petrol four-pot rated at 180 PS, the
difference is that the PHEV is rechargeable.
