A reveal event took place in Turkey this weekend dedicated to a new domestic EV manufacturer, Amperino, and its first production vehicle, the C-100. It is technically a heavy-duty, supermini-sized quadricycle with a fixed top and three seats inside. The production is slated for 2025.

The repurposed quad bike, which was designed to celebrate the 100 years of the Turkish Republic, is 3,159 x 1,500 x 1,450 millimeters large. It also weighs as little as 650 kilos. The interior layout is rather unique with the driver’s seat in the middle and two passenger seats installed side-by-side at the rear. On the upside, such an approach enables the two passengers to extend their legs freely despite the tiny dimensions of the car.

The trunk volume is also an impressive 370 liters. The Amperino official website claims that the quad maxes out at 90 km/h and yields up to 150 km of range per charge. Refilling the battery from a regular wall socket takes four hours.

From the structural point of view, the Amperino C-100 is not that different from other recent supermini EVs. It is based on a skateboard platform and has composite bodywork. The battery cells are mounted under the floor within the wheelbase. The manufacturer claims that the car packs state-of-the-art driving assists and is well-protected against damage in collisions.
