Audi has unveiled the last edition of its R8 sports flagship in Japan. Only eight such cars will be made with an exclusive three-color exterior finish and the company’s signature 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 before that engine officially becomes history. The paint scheme uses the country’s three national colors: the main white goes along with matte-gold 20-inch wheels and red brake calipers. Black carbon-fiber details round off the look.

Inside, the main trim material is quilted Nappa leather finished in black with light beige inserts. Alcantara can be found at the headliner and inside the trunk area. The door sills bear commemorative plaques stating the serial number of the car in its production batch.

The tech corresponds to that of the regular R8 V10 Quattro. The engine still churns out its 620 PS and 580 Nm of torque in tandem with an S-tronic seven-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive system. The asking price is 35,080,000 JPY, or slightly more than US$ 240,000.
