Chery has produced yet another modification of its Explore CUV also known as the Jaecoo J7. Dubbed Urban Edition, it has a different front end and may not be available with four driven wheels, AutoHome reports.
All other variants of the Explore 06 sport
a bulky honeycomb front grille made of unpainted plastic and rugged-looking
bumpers, resulting in a utilitarian and off-road-ready look. In contrast, the
Urban Edition is more elegant with shiny vertical grille bars at the front,
smaller company lettering and a bumper that would look at home on a light
passenger car.
In addition to this, the Explore 06 Urban
Edition will be restricted to FWD. A 1.6-liter engine under the hood will send
197 PS and 290 Nm of torque to the wheels through
a seven-speed DCT.
The buyers will be able to choose from two
trim levels offering such features as LED lights, 18-inch wheels, eco-leather
for the seats, panoramic roof, 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.25-inch
digital dashboard, dashcam and surround view cameras. Prices lie within the
range of 119,900–129,900 Yuan, which roughly translates into US$ 16,700–18,100.
