Geely has launched the Preface L, its latest sedan so far only obtainable as a hybrid. According to SZCW, the prices lie within the range of 126,700–146,700 Yuan (US$ 17,700–20,500).
The car is 4.8 meters long with
2.8 meters of wheelbase. It uses a NordThor hybrid powertrain
comprising an IC engine rated at 163 PS and a single electric
motor adding 136 PS. A three-speed transmission drives the
wheels, launching the sedan 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and letting it
reach a top speed of 200 km/h. Once fully charged and refilled, it
offers roughly 1,000 km of range, Geely says.
In its most affordable spec, the Preface L
rides on 17-inch wheels and has power side mirrors, a panoramic roof, HVAC,
power seat adjustments for the driver, two dash displays 13.2 and 10.2 inches
large, a surround-view camera system and eight-channel audio. The more premium
trim levels introduce larger wheels, Infinity audio, more seat adjustments with
memory, seat ventilation, AC air freshener, and a state-of-the-art assist
package.
In the future, the Preface L may get other
powertrain options, including a non-electrified ICE version for export markets.
