The Cadillac Escalade-V is no slouch when it leaves the GM factory, but if you really want to ensure that yours is worthy of the V badge, Hennessey has you covered with a new tuning package developed specifically for the high-performance SUV.
As it has done with so many other GM
vehicles equipped with the 6.2-liter small block V8, the tuning house has
pushed the Cadillac Escalade-V’s horsepower into four-digit territory. With
1,005 hp and 1,196 Nm of torque on tap, it makes
a whole car’s worth of 323 more horses and 310 Nm more torque than the standard model.
Among other improvements, there’s a
high-flow air induction system, upgraded lifters and push rods, as well as a
high-flow catalytic converter, all with a view to helping air pass more freely
through the supercharged V8. In addition, the Hennessey Escalade-V also gets
custom HPE camshaft, an upgraded auxiliary fuel system, ported cylinder heads,
improved valve springs, an oversized heat exchanger, new gaskets, and HPE
engine management calibration.
Hennessey has not disclosed pricing
details yet. However, the standard 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is already a
high-priced affair, starting at US$ 149,990, and it provides 682 hp and 653 lb-ft
of torque, allowing it to achieve a 0-60 mph time of under 4.4 seconds. It’s
worth noting that Hennessey offers a three-year/36,000-mile (57,939 km)
warranty for its tuning modifications.
