Jiyue, a Chinese car marque co-founded between Geely and Baidu, has revealed some images previewing its second production car – a sedan named simply the 02. Car News China believes it will be made at the same factory in Ningbo as the Jiyue 01 and reach the showrooms closer towards the middle of the next year.

The production car is based on the Jidu Robo-02 Concept that debuted at the Guangzhou Motor Show in 2022. Like the 01 model, it is based on Geely’s SEA platform. It sports a coupe-like silhouette, pull-out handles – they are popular in China right now – small side mirrors and aerodynamically optimized wheels.

Inside, a giant display occupies most of the dashboard. It combines the instrument cluster with the infotainment system and is virtually unobstructed by the yoke-shaped steering wheel. A host of video cameras and radars forming Baidu’s trademark semi-autonomous driving suite is already included in the base spec.

Other than that, the details are scarce. We suppose the 02 could borrow the powertrain from the 01. In that case, the buyers would be choosing between a RWD version with 272 PS and an AWD variant rated at 544 PS. The driving range may amount to 550–720 km depending on your chosen spec.
