The Revuelto could never be described as subtle, and yet Lamborghini has already found a way to make it more flamboyant. Its first plug-in hybrid hypercar has been turned into a canvas for Art Basel Miami Beach 2023, which runs from December 8 to 10. The multicolor car will be shown live for the first time at the legendary art event, and is being called the Revuelto “Opera Unica,” which translates from Italian to “unique work.” Painted by hand, the special finish was conceived of by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile.
Lamborghini says that it took 76 hours of
development and testing and a total of 435 hours to complete the unique paint
job of the Revuelto Opera Unica. The base color of the car fades from Viola
Pasifea at the front, where a subtle 60th anniversary logo can be seen, to Nero
Helene at the back. Slashes of warm and cool colors give the exterior a sense
of motion.
Meanwhile, its interior reflects the
exterior, thanks to Viola Acutus and Nero Ade leather. In addition, the seat
backs, door cards, and headliner get embroidery in the same warm and cool
colors as the hand-painted lines on the outside.
As with other examples of the supercar,
the Revuelto Opera Unica is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Based
around a 6.5-liter V12 that is helped along by three electric motors, the car
makes a total of 1,001 hp. That allows it to hit 100
km/h in just 2.5 seconds, and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
