Lancia has shared another teaser of its next-gen Ypsilon hatchback focusing on the front fascia and the headlights. As you can see, the light patterns are Y-shaped, just like on the Pu+Ra HPE Concept. The full reveal remains scheduled for the next February.

We have already seen the same five-door hatch in spy shots yesterday, when a drowned Ypsilon test vehicle was recovered from a canal in France. Its LED stripes are integrated into a black trim panel installed between the front bumper and the hood: you can see the same panel on the test car, too. The bumper itself looks rather boxy and has rectangular black inserts in it, possibly hiding a charging port of semi-autonomous driving sensors. The main headlights aren’t shown in the teaser, so we assume they could be mounted at the ends of the bumper.

In earlier news, Lancia previewed a peculiar cabin detail of the new Ypsilon hatch that it dubbed ‘Tavolino’. You can see it in more detail in the attached video. It looks like a mini-table mounted under the center console, but its purpose remains unknown. It could be a wireless gadget charging pad, a dining mini-table, or both.

The coming of the next-gen Ypsilon heralds the reboot of the entire Lancia brand. It is set to reach the market with a 156-PS electric motor under the hood first, but later receive hybrid alternatives as well.
