Chinese automaker Zeekr has many innovative and unusual features in stock for its first sedan – the 007. However, as these images suggest, most of them may end up being exclusive to the higher trim levels. The images here are provided by CarNewsChina and apparently show a base version of the Zeekr 007 as it is running its pre-production tests. The electric saloon is expected to go on sale in China soon priced from 229,900 Yuan, or 32,000 USD.
Some time ago, Zeekr held a public
premiere of the 007 model. It had a giant 90-inch LED panel called Stargate at
the front end, which could display animations and simpler graphics. The car
spied on the streets this week had no such panel on it.
It also lacked sensor-activated power
doors, having generic pull-out door handles instead. Perhaps more importantly,
the area between the roof and the upper windshield rim had no dedicated LiDAR
slot. In all likelihood, the cheaper trims will ship with only some basic
driving aids and no hardware upgrade options.
CarNewsChina concludes that the show car as a flagship spec optioned with everything Zeekr
has prepared for the model. Its price was estimated at 314,900 Yuan (US$ 44,000). Some options may still be available on the aftermarket for the lower
trim levels. For instance, Zeekr mentioned that the Stargate cost 15,000 Yuan
(US$ 2,000) and the power doors 12,000 Yuan (US$ 1,700). The full list of
trim levels and optional features remains to be revealed.
