While Enclave sales were red-hot in 2023, helping Buick achieve a remarkable 61 percent growth over the previous year, the company still sees the importance of updating the model. Today, the company announced that the next generation of its premium three-row SUV will be unveiled very soon and shared early sketches of the model’s upcoming design. The Wildcat EV concept was first shown at the Detroit auto show in 2022. It featured slim, checkmark-shaped DRLs, a trapezoidal grille, and a shark nose, all of which, it seems, will be present on the Enclave.

Unlike the Wildcat, the SUV will not have a coupe-like roofline. While the sketches that Buick presented us with are stylized, they appear to depict a familiar, yet handsome, two-box shape, with a relatively upright tailgate. This design is expected to offer great practicality for large families. Buick has yet to reveal official specifications for the Enclave, but the model is expected to feature an even more upscale interior with higher-quality materials than the existing model. The centerpiece of the interior is anticipated to be a massive curved display that integrates both the infotainment and instrument displays.

Under the hood, the Enclave will likely share much with the Chevrolet Traverse and the GMC Acadia. That means that it will likely be powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 328 hp and 442 Nm of torque, which would be a moderate improvement over the existing model. Unfortunately, although we know that the reveal is coming soon, it is not yet clear specifically when it will be unveiled.
