Audi has released the first pictures and details about the 2025 S3, ahead of its full debut. Described as “more than a mere product upgrade,” the car sports a new front end with a revised grille as well as a repositioned logo. They’re joined by a sportier bumper and evolutionary headlights. The changes continue out back as the model has been equipped with a new bumper that features angular reflectors, which are housed in a recess that mimics a vent. We can also see new taillights, an Akrapovic exhaust, and a far more aggressive diffuser.

While Audi was coy about the styling changes, the company confirmed the car has an upgraded 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine. It produces 328 hp and 420 Nm of torque, which is an increase of 23 hp and 20 Nm. Thanks to the extra oomph, the dash from0-100 km/h takes 4.7 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The engine is connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission, which offers improved responsiveness. As Audi explained, “the shift time for gearshifts under full load has been halved and engine speeds are increased under partial load when the transmission is set to D.”

 

Elsewhere, the model has been equipped with a torque splitter that allows for “active, fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels.” At the opposite end, there’s a McPherson strut axle with a new pivot bearing. Audi says it allows for more negative wheel camber and this results in improved steering response as well as more grip when cornering. Rounding out the highlights are stiffer wishbones, an optimized steering system, a new dynamic plus mode, and two new high-performance tires from Falken. The model also has upgraded brakes and next-generation electronic stabilization control.

Speaking of the brakes, the S3 has larger ventilated front discs that now measure 14 inches (357 mm). Besides being bigger, the front discs are 0.2 inches (4 mm) thicker and are backed up by twin-piston calipers as well as larger pads. Audi didn’t say when the car will be introduced, but we can expect to learn more later this year.
