Everrati, a restoration and electromod firm from the UK, says that its international expansion is well on its way, and points to this handsome Land Rover Series IIa, the first it has ever made for an American customer, as a clear sign of that. The vehicle is based on a 1971 Series IIa that was first restored to like new condition. Then, Everrati went about modifying it, removing the engine and replacing it with electric motors that offer 150 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Both two- and all-wheel-drive are available, and a 60 kWh battery pack provides the classic SUV with a range of 241 km.
And Everrati wasn’t horsing around when it
came to the finer details on this project. Finished in a paint color called
limestone, it also got a new canvas roof as part of its refurbishment, as well
as classic bench seating, and a wooden steering wheel plays against the teak
flooring at the back of the vehicle. Built for a buyer identified only as
Craig, the vehicle is being referred to as “The Polo Commission,” because its
new owner owns a corporate and equestrian law practice. As such, it was handed
over to him at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Florida.
Everrati is also quite excited about delivering
its first electric Land Rover to the U.S., having recently established a North
American headquarters. Plying its trade since 2019, the company was founded by
Justin Lunny and Nick Williams, and has also equipped classic Porsche 911s and
Mercedes SLs with electric powertrains.
