Geely’s Radar sub-brand only has one vehicle on the market right now – an electric truck called the RD6. It is currently available with a single motor on the rear axle, but a dual-motor AWD version is coming soon with interior updates. AutoHome reports that the new trim version is called “Horizon” and is available for ordering as of March 22. The first customers to order it in China will have it delivered in the second quarter.
On the exterior side of things, the
vehicle looks much like the RD6, but with a new front fascia. The brand emblem
has moved from the hood rim onto the trim piece between the headlights and has
grown up in size considerably. Note also the “4WD” badge on the tailgate.
The interior trim resembles that of the Geely
Okavango SUV in its Chinese domestic market spec. Compared to the standard RD6,
the AWD edition benefits from a thorough dashboard and tunnel redesign. It also
sports a new digital gauge cluster and a 14.6-inch infotainment display. The
steering wheel stays the same.
Power for the truck comes from two
e-motors producing a combined 428 PS and 594 Nm of torque. Accelerating from zero to 100 km/h takes roughly four
seconds, and the top speed amounts to 190 km/h. Drivers get seven
presets to switch between and can use their trucks to supply external devices
with power (up to 21 kW).

The RWD version of the truck, which has been on sale in China for two years
now, has 272 PS at its disposal and comes with three battery
size options – 63, 86 and 100 kilowatt-hours. Depending on your chosen spec, it
may cost from 145,800 to 268,800 Yuan (US$ 20,000–37,300).
