Blackbridge Motors, a U.S. company specializing in high-end restoration and modification of classic Land Rover Defenders, has revealed what is arguably its most impressive project so far: the Mark IV. The off-roader has been moved to a customized Jeep Wrangler chassis. This made it more rigid and added 154 mm of legroom in the cabin. The brakes, the shocks and the axles have been upgraded as well to ensure proper performance and comfort in any situation.

The interior has been transformed, too. Most surfaces have been trimmed with weatherproof Hydes leather, and the driver got a newer infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen display. The canvas top seen here is a US$ 12,000 option.

Power for the build is provided by a Chevrolet LS3 V8. If 425 PS is not enough for you, the alternative is an LT1 V8 with 450 PS at its disposal. The transmission is six-speed manual. Prices start from US$ 169,950. The order processing time is relatively low at four months or so.
