Dodge has released pricing for the 2024 Charger Daytona and it’s far more affordable than expected as it starts at US$ 59,595. The company also noted the model will qualify for the full US$ 7,500 federal tax credit when leased. The lineup starts off with the entry-level Charger Daytona R/T, which features a sport suspension and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Other highlights include a heated steering wheel and heated front seats with eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. Buyers will also find a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. They’re joined by a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a universal garage door opener, Keyless Go, and a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with a subwoofer. On the safety front, there’s a host of driver assistance systems including automatic emergency braking, active lane management, active blind spot, and traffic sign information technology. The model also comes equipped with automatic high beams, drowsy driver detection, rear cross path detection, and front/rear/side park warning.
Power is provided by a dual motor
all-wheel drive system that produces 456 hp and 547 Nm of torque. However, a PowerShot feature can increase the output to 496
hp for 15 seconds at a time. This setup enables the car to
accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed
of 220 km/h. The 100.5 kWh battery pack also promises to deliver a
range of 510 km. 190 Charger Daytona Scat Pack, which has 630 hp and 849 Nm of torque. Like in the R/T, there’s a
PowerShot function and it cranks the output to 670 hp. This
enables the Dodge to rocket from 0-96 km/h in 3.3 seconds and run
the quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds. However, the top speed falls to 216 km/h while the range plummets to 418 km/h.
Besides the upgraded powertrain, the Scat
Pack has additional drive modes, a Line Lock function, and Launch Control.
Buyers will also find a standard Track Pack, which includes 20-inch aluminum
wheels, a gloss black rear spoiler, a dual valve adaptive damping suspension,
and a Brembo braking system with red calipers. Buyers will also find an
upgraded interior with leather and suede performance seats, heated rear seats,
a head-up display, and a 16-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s also a
Drive eXperience Recorder, which can record videos as well as provide
“synchronized logging of audio, video and vehicle data.” Both models can be
equipped with an assortment of options including a US$ 4,995 Plus Group. The
contents vary, but include ventilated front seats, premium dash and door panel
trim, and a power hatch. The package also includes “Attitude Adjustment”
lighting, a frunk, a 360-degree surround view camera, and a wireless smartphone
charger. They’re joined by premium LED headlights, Dodge logo puddle lamps, and
an assortment of other features.
The R/T and Scat Pack can also be equipped
with a US$ 2,495 Sun & Sound package. It unsurprisingly adds a glass roof
and an 18-speaker Alpine premium audio system. The R/T offers a unique Blacktop
package for US$ 1,095. It includes dark badges and 20-inch wheels with a dark
finish. The Scat Pack can be equipped with two exclusive packages including a
3-Season Tire Pack. It costs US$ 695 and sees the car outfitted with Goodyear
Eagle F1 Supercar 3 rubber, instead of the standard all-seasons.
Scat Pack customers can also opt for the US$
2,995 Carbon & Suede package. It adds carbon fiber mirror caps, dark
badges, and dark 20-inch wheels. Inside, there’s leather and suede seats,
carbon fiber trim, and numerous suede accents. The coupes are slated to arrive
at dealerships in the fourth quarter and they’ll come with a free Level 2
charging station or US$ 600 in charging credits. Dodge also noted dealer
