Aston Martin recently updated their SUV and best-seller with a revamped interior, while dropping the base DBX from the lineup. Still, Japanese tuner Wald International revealed a new body kit for owners of the standard DBX. Wald’s bodykit for the high-riding Aston Martin bears their signature Black Bison moniker. The modified SUV doesn’t look as wild as Mansory’s take but adds an extra layer of visual aggression to the DBX.
At the front, there is a bumper extension,
combining a splitter with garnish around the bumper intakes. The profile
features deeper side skirts, without any changes to the stock fenders. The rear
end received a more prominent glossy black diffuser, alongside discreet
body-colored add-ons around the lower rear fascia. The “Sports Line Black Bison
Edition” bodykit is made of ABS plastic and can be optionally combined with a
selection of aftermarket alloy wheels. The pictured example rides on Wald’s
24-inch wheels finished in black.
The Aston Martin DBX Black Bison Edition
doesn’t feature any interior, chassis, or performance upgrades. The kit is
compatible with the “regular” DBX but not the DBX707. This includes the
V8-powered model with 542 hp, and the China-only inline-six version
with 429 hp.
The cost of the bodykit is ¥ 2,310,000
(US$ 15,922), although owners can also buy each part separately. The splitter is
priced at ¥ 990,000 (US$ 6,824), the side skirts at ¥ 660,000 (US$ 4,549), and the rear
diffuser at ¥ 825,000 (US$ 5,684). Finally, the optional 24-inch alloy wheels cost
between ¥ 349,800-371,800 (US$ 2,408-2,560), excluding the cost of the tires.
