Over the past few years, many carmakers have been releasing special ‘First Edition’ versions of new models. JLR did this with the launch of the Range Rover Sport SV Edition One last year, and it’s now followed up that vehicle with the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two. It may not have the most creative name, but it will allow shoppers to get behind the wheel of a specially equipped model. Four special themes have been curated for the Edition Two model: Blue Nebula Matte, Ligurian Black Gloss, Marl Grey Gloss, and Sunrise Copper Satin. Each color combines the paint with various carbon fiber accents, and special branding has been added to the front splitter, center console, treadplates, and puddle lamps.
All four themes come with 23-inch wheels
as standard, but customers can opt for a set of small 22-inch shoes. The Blue
Nebula model is inspired by the Northern Atlantic coast and includes matching
brake calipers, while the Marl Grey Gloss model receives Sunrise Copper calipers.
A set of red anodized calipers is standard on Sunrise Copper Satin-painted
models, while Nano Yellow calipers are standard equipment on Ligurian Black
Gloss models. Just like the wheels, the color of the brake calipers can be
customized. The Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two can also be specified with a
body-colored roof, the Satin Forged Carbon Fiber Pack, and the Twill Carbon
Fiber Pack.
Each configuration comes with a unique
interior specification and different leather upholstery. Key standard details
across the four configurations are SV Performance Seats with carbon fiber backs
and massage functions. An illuminated SV Mode button has been added to the
steering wheels, and the paddle shifters have grown in size. They also include
LED illumination. Like all current Range Rover Sport SV models, the Edition Two
rocks a twin-turbocharged V8 pumping out 626 hp and 750 Nm of
torque, allowing it to hit 96 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.
There’s no word on how many examples of
Edition Two will be built, although it will likely depend on how many are
ordered. Pricing details also remain a mystery.
