SOLEIL
ANADI
Soleil
Motors is proudly founded and based in Milan, Italy. The culture, fashion,
passion and rich history of Milan became the perfect catalyst to form the
beautiful Anadi.
The
Anadi was envisioned and designed to provide a full luxury driving experience
without compromising on power and speed. With Italian automotive heritage and
craftsmanship emerges an automotive work of art able of super car speeds. The
focus and belief is to provide esteemed individuals with the unique opportunity
of owning a bespoke super car.
The
Anadi (the company said the name approximates “no limits” in Hindi) is designed
for “the customer who wants an exclusive car that is not readily available, and
that his or her friends don’t have.”
It’s
always a gamble with out-of-nowhere cars like this. Mr. Srivastava admitted he
was not an experienced carmaker, having been a philosophy major at New York
University, but he said he brought old world Italian craftsmanship to the
table. Showing the car in Dubai produced dividends, and the Middle East will
always be a prime market for supercars. Soleil isn’t expecting many sales from
the United States or Europe, but Brazil, Russia, India and China are being
targeted. The goal is to build 25 cars worldwide this year.
The
drivetrain is Corvette-sourced, but massaged. The 6.2-liter, 651-horsepower V8
features a supercharger and racing pistons, and Mr. Srivastava claimed a zero
to 62 m.p.h. time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 201 m.p.h. If you want
more, Soleil claims to have it. Cars built so far are made of fiberglass, but
the company said a carbon-fiber version was being developed, with a 22 percent
weight savings and an astonishing 920 horsepower.
The
price is $299,995, without destination. Soleil said it hoped to take American
orders by the end of the year.
