DATSUN on-DO

// Datsun Go Sedan’s

The revived Japanese car maker is now looking to bring it’s first sedan as well. Badged as the on-DO, the Datsun sedan that was first launched in Russia, is based on the Lada Kalina hatchback platform.

Aimed as an affordable family car, the Datsun mi-DO is a traditional FOUR door sedan that offers a large cabin to aid practicality.

The Datsun mi-DO is powered by the Lada Granta’s 8-valve, 1.6 litre, four cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine developing a maximum power output of 88 PS. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Power is sent to the front wheels.

The Datsun mi-DO may have plain simple lines to keep costs in check, but it has to be said that the car does not look bad at all. The design may look a tad dated, but it’s not unpleasant in anyway. The car measures in at 4,337 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height. The on-DO also has a capacious 530 litre boot that furthers it’s practicality aspect.

Unlike the Go hatchback and Go+ MPV, the mi-DO has completely different interiors that look more upmarket. The all black interiors appear to have better fit and finish and quality of materials. The switch gear looks more premium too. The mi-DO also comes with an integrated double-DIN stereo. The car also gets dual front airbags.

Inside Datsun on-DO, discover a cleverly designed interior space with supportive and stylish front seats as well as comfortable rear seats and spacious legroom.
