Hyundai Equus
The
2016 Hyundai Equus full-size luxury sedan starts at US$ 62,450 for the base
Signature model, reflecting no price increase over the 2015 Equus. Pricing
includes a US$ 950 destination charge.
The
top-of-the-line 2016 Hyundai Equus Ultimate is priced at US$ 69,700, including
shipping, also reflecting no price increase over the 2015 model. Hyundai's 2016
Equus is expected to arrive at dealerships this summer.
This
is a carryover vehicle with minimal changes for the new model year. They
include the addition of a hands-free smart trunk with automatic opening as
standard equipment on the Ultimate model.
The
2016 Hyundai Equus is due for some major
upgrades, including the addition of an all-wheel-drive model for the first
time, as Edmunds reported earlier. It will also get a redesigned exterior
patterned after the 2015 Hyundai Genesis.
The
2016 Equus is powered by a 429-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine linked to an
eight-speed automatic transmission.
The
Signature and Ultimate models are generously equipped. There are no options.
The 2016 Equus Signature features heated-and-cooled front seats, a
leather-wrapped dash and a Lexicon sound system with 17 speakers. The 2016
Equus Ultimate adds a forward-view cornering camera, rear-seat illuminated
vanity mirrors and a head-up display.
Key
competitors to the Equus include the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz
S-Class.
