Arrinera
Venocara Supercar
Your
eyes aren’t fooling you; the Arrinera supercar looks a hell of a lot like a
Lamborghini. But despite the similarities, the Arrinera also sports some unique
styling cues that’s all its own, including a dramatic body language that came
from the creative mind of Pavlo Burkatskyy. The full use of creases and sharp
angles affirms the supercar’s aggressive and futuristic stance while the
scissor doors reinforce the Lamborghini-like inspiration behind the design.
Even the rear end, despite its high-flowing styling cues, points to a little
touch-up from the Aventador. The striped LED tail lamp-set up, the large
diffuser, and the centrally mounted exhausts are sharp as tacks and certainly
draws a great deal of attention.
The
Arrinerar will ride on a tubular steel chassis and will come with a carbon
Kevlar body with plenty of carbon fiber and aluminum accents. It will glide
along the streets with large diameter light alloy wheels wrapped around ultra
low profile tires, 255/30 R19 at the front and 335/30 R20 at the rear. Stopping
power will come from Ceramic brake discs.
Inside,
the Arrinera supercar is covered to the nines of luxury and extravagance.
Leather and composite materials are only two of the many items inside the
supercar that caters to high-end customers. The supercar also include
four-point harnesses and roll bars positioned behind the seats for additional
safety while a thermal imaging camera can be had as an added option. This
camera picks up any object that has a higher temperature than the environment
up to 100 meters ahead of the car. When this human or animal is picked up by
the camera, an image of the object will show up on the display neatly displayed
in the center console.
The
Arrinera Supercar is powered by a 6.2-liter, mid-mounted V8 engine that
delivers 650 horsepower and 604 lb/ft of torque. According to Arrinera, the
prized machine has beyond impressive numbers to justify the monstrous engine.
Acceleration from 0-62 mph can be accomplished in just 3.2 seconds with a
quarter-mile time of 11 seconds and a top speed of a mind-blowing 211 mph. It’s
not in the level of the Agera R’s and Veyron’s of the world, but it can
certainly hold its own against the likes of the 458 Italia and the MP4-12C.
The
Arrinera Venocara Supercar comes with a price of US$ 160,060, excluding
destination charges and local taxes.
Meanwhile,
a possible second model - a roadster version - is set to be offered in either
single or two-seat configurations and weighing only under 500 kg. This
particular model, despite still being clouded in mystery, is expected to retail
for ₤70,000 (US$ 111,000).
