Auto Limited is a world renowned Indian three-wheeler and two-wheeler
manufacturing company and is a part of Bajaj Group. Its headquarters are
located in Pune, India It was founded in
the 1930s by Jamnalal Bajaj in Rajasthan and became the world's largest
three-wheeler and second largest motorcycle manufacturer. It has its plants in
Waluj near Aurangabad, Chakan in Pune and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand and the
oldest one at Akurdi (Pune) which has now become a R&D center. Bajaj has
also acquired a large number of shares in Austrian company, KTM Power Sports
AG, thus started a joint venture in November 2007.
Recently,
Bajaj Auto Limited has surprised everyone by unveiling the naked cruiser Pulsar
CS400 on February 5, 2014. It was on display at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The
Pulsar CS400 will be launched by the mid of 2016 in the market. This bike is
the perfect blend of sportiness, style, aggressiveness, technology, performance
and speed that has attracted interest of everyone due to their stunning design
and a powerful 373.2 cc engine from KTM 390 Duke which may get a little tweaked

Pulsar CS400 has got a brilliant design and a lot of remarkable features which
makes it a tough competitor and can even be regarded as a beefier version of
Pulsar 200NS. It includes a bright halogen headlight, a conventional handlebar
with a well sculpted fuel tank, unique gear indicator, a stylish exhaust, good
riding position, a step-up seat, rear grab handle, stylish alloy wheels with
MRF tyres, small turn indicators and a bright tail light.
The
Pulsar CS400 features a fully digital instrument console which includes a
unique digital speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer, two trip meters, a clock,
pass light and a low fuel, oil and battery indicators along with a stand alarm.
The blue color is used in LCD for a better illumination and imparts a
futuristic look.

Pulsar CS400 is equipped with 373.2 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke,
liquid-cooled engine with Bajaj's triple spark technology to give an expected
maximum power of 43 Bhp at 9000 rpm and an expected maximum torque of 35 Nm at
7000 rpm and is mated with a 6-speed gearbox transmission.
It
will give a top speed of above 150 km/h and will take about 7-8 seconds to
reach 0-100 km/h acceleration. The bike gives an excellent performance on road
along with an expected mileage of 30 km/l.

Pulsar CS400 has got 300 mm disc brakes at the front and 230 mm disc brakes at
the rear end along with the availability of ABS on both the wheels. The
suspension system comprises of inverted telescope at the front while mono-shock
absorbers are placed at the rear end.

Pulsar CS400 will be available in two variants which includes the Pulsar CS400
and the Pulsar CS400 ABS. The Pulsar CS400 is expected to be available in four
exciting shades of Red, Yellow, Blue and Black. The expected ex-showroom price
of Pulsar CS400 is INR 1.60 lakhs (US$ 2628) and INR 1.75 lakhs (US$ 2675) for
the Pulsar CS400 ABS, which may vary.
