Innotech
Aspiron
Innotech
are best known for their high-powered modified Corvettes. However they have had
a crack at building their own cars in the past.
Now
they’re back with another in-house creation. This time around it’s a
purposeful-looking trackday racer with V8 power. Called the Innotech Aspiron,
the new car is based around a tubular space frame chassis. The car is highly
customisable on order, and basically Innotech will build the car to the owner’s
requirements.
The
drivetrains are all based on Corvette running gear. LS3, LS7, LT1 as well as
supercharged LSA and LS9 engines are available – either in stock or modified
form. Innotech say their packages put out anywhere between 500 and 1,000
horsepower depending on specification. The transmission is a Ricardo 6-speed
manual with limited slip differential.
The
car pictured here is fitted with a 7.0 litre naturally aspirated V8 based on
the LS7 block. Its internals have been upgraded, and on the dyno it showed an
impressive 692 hp @ 6,900 rpm and 588 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque @ 5,500 rpm.
Innotech
are now taking orders for the Aspiron, and prices start at US$ 149,000 (114,000
Euro).
