Laraki Epitome Concept

Laraki, the eponymous pet project of the yachting industry's Abdesslam Laraki, is a true beast of a thing, built up on the chassis of a C6 Corvette. Those aggressively styled body panels have been crafted entirely of carbon fiber, helping to bring the curb weight of the car down to around 2,800 pounds.

This car costs $ 2,000,000 and is made in Morocco which is probably one of the least sporting countries in the world, but what is it that makes this car so special? Well, you might buy this car because of the impressive figures – 1750 HP engine and a top speed of 204 mph, although there are many great alternatives that will offer you the same excitement for half the price or maybe even less.

It has a 7.0 litre V8, quad turbocharged engine generating 1750 HP and as I mentioned earlier has a top speed of 204 mph which is no slouch, but could be a lot higher if gear ratios are messed around with. When comparing to your “average” supercars such as the Ferrari 458 and McLaren 12C it certainly has the pace, but not with the big guns such as Bugatti, Pagani and Koenigsegg. Considering the price tag you would have to be very wealthy or very mental to go for this over other rivals.

We'll admit that we're a bit cautious in believing such astonishing claims from a heretofore unheard of boutique builder, but we'd certainly like for the Epitome to become a real thing. Plans only call for building nine examples of the supercar, as of right now, though some of the Laraki folks were hinting broadly that they had future product plans laid out already.
