SALEEN
GTX
Since
1983, Saleen has become synonymous with the passion for American performance,
recognizable styling and the Racing Heritage that embodies our vehicles. Custom
styling, and high-performance handling are only a few ingredients that embody
our show-stopping, high-performance supercars that enthusiasts eagerly search
for in a Saleen creation. Utilizing a 3-phase, four pole AC induction motor
this all-electric sedan produces up to 691 hp and incredible on-demand torque
giving this model an incredibly unique electric drive system.
In
addition to increased performance, each Saleen vehicle also receives a myriad
of additional upgrades including Aerodynamics and Aesthetics, braking, and
Saleen specific suspension components that all work together balancing out the
"Speed, Science and Style" trifecta that is embedded in each Saleen
vehicle produced. Handling on the GTX model is maintained by the Saleen S4
specific-rate springs, S4 shocks & struts, swaybars and bushings creating a
complete suspension system; with ground control managed by the Saleen styled
21" wheels and Z rated tires. Aerodynamics and Aesthetics on the GTX
include a rear valance redesign which incorporates a specific package
consisting of a front & rear fascia, groundforce sideskirts, high downforce
wing and front and rear splitter/ diffuser package.
As
part of the Saleen manufacturing process, each vehicle is cataloged and
serialized with its own unique Saleen VIN, a process that lends itself to the
collectability and high resale values that Saleen vehicle have been known for
over the past 30 years. Simply put, the GTX is our most advanced electric
performance vehicle produced to date.
With
over 30 years of racing and driveline experience, Saleen engineers utilize the
most advanced components in the industry to create the ultimate system for
performance enthusiasts. Our innovative Saleen driveline system is a welcomed
upgrade to the all-electric drivetrain.
Just
like the rest of the Saleen lineup, this car is more than just an eye catching
aerodynamic package. Propelling the new GTX is the 3-phase, four pole AC
induction motor and copper rotor with the upgraded Saleen drivetrain including
an all-new 11.39:1 final gear ratio for quicker acceleration. Also new for the
GTX is a Saleen specific MAXGRIP locking differential that allows each wheel to
efficiently apply rotational force and maximize traction and grip in
performance environments. All of the Saleen engineered driveline components
increase efficiencies in torque management, give a track capable throttle
response, and provide faster acceleration. Overall the GTX is a well-balanced
vehicle and sounds great too!
Electric
motor cooling has also been made more productive from the Saleen
high-efficiency drivetrain cooling system. Comprising the system is a larger
volume radiator, upsampled cooling fans, and a high-flow water pump to help
maintain consistent temperatures in more stressful performance applications.
