Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe & Cabriolet Special Editions
The
Mercedes E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models are gaining two new special
versions called Sport and V8 Edition, along with a general connectivity upgrade
for the whole series.
The
new Sport Edition of the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet features a more
distinctive and dynamic look, thanks to bigger air inlets at the front,
high-gloss black louvre with chrome inserts, sportier side sills, as well as a
color-coordinated AMG spoiler lip and ‘diffuser-look’ bumper with twin,
trapezoidal exhaust pipes. The exterior is finished in a special Brilliant Blue
metallic paint which is reserved exclusively for these special editions.
The
Agility Control sports suspension is offered as standard with a set of 18-inch
AMG alloys and front perforated brake discs. The cabin is dressed in black
leather with blue and grey stitching for the door panels, armrest and center
console. Mercedes offers the cross-grain bright aluminum trim as standard, with
high-gloss black ash, black piano lacquer and dark textured-grain aluminum
trims available as options.
The
new Sport Edition can be ordered with any of the available engines of the
E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet.
As
for the V8 Edition, as you might have guessed, this is reserved just for the E
500 Coupe and Cabriolet models. A set of 19-inch titanium-grey AMG alloys along
with special paint finishes in Selenite Grey and Designo White Bright and ‘V8
Edition’ badging on the front wings are featured on the exterior.
The
interior gains a pair of multi-contour seats, exclusive nappa leather
upholstery with contrasting stitching, a three-zone climate control, with
Mercedes offering a rich selection of customization options for the trim of the
cabin. The V8 Edition also offers the adaptive ‘Agility Control’ sports
suspension as standard.
Mercedes
is also upgrading the connectivity features of all the models in the E-Class
Coupe and Cabriolet line-up, now offering Apple’s CarPlay and MirrorLink for
better smartphone integration. The German company also added the Live Traffic
Information feature across the range of the model.
The
Sport Edition costs in Germany € 4,367 (about US$ 5,000) on top of the basic model,
while the V8 Edition is priced at € 7,973 (about US$ 9,000).
