2016 Yamaha X-MAX Iron Max



Yamaha has just announced a new limited edition of its X-MAX maxi scooter. The Yamaha scooter line sees the introduction of the special edition X-MAX Iron Max model in 400 cc, 250 cc and 125 cc versions. The special edition X-MAX features a dark paint scheme and other aesthetical changes. All three models will be exclusively available in Europe.



Developed using the same philosophy that has made the TMAX Europe’s top sport maxi scooter, the latest X-Max models are shaped by the same thoroughbred TMAX DNA. The Yamaha Sport Scooter line sees the introduction of the special edition X-MAX Iron Max model in 400 cc, 250 cc and 125 cc versions that bring definitive style and added exclusivity to the streets of Europe.


Reinforcing the Yamaha Sport Scooter Range for 2016 is the new special version X-MAX 400 / 250 / 125 Iron Max line up. Inspired by the outstanding success of the top-of-the-range TMAX Iron Max that was introduced for 2015, the new models feature an exclusive Liquid Darkness colour scheme with new aluminium-type emblems that project an even more redefined and sophisticated look.

These new high-end are equipped with a special leather seat that is embossed with the X-MAX logo and finished with golden stitching. And for premium riding comfort, an independent backrest comes as standard.


In addition to the fashionable exterior, these premium Iron Max models also benefit from an exclusive interior specification that includes special pads manufactured from textured leather that matches the luxurious new seat. Aluminium footplates also differentiate the new Iron Max from the standard model, while the white backlighting on the speedo for the 250 and 125 models, as well as satin chrome speedometer rings and handlebar cover reinforce the understated style.

Driven by a powerful and economical liquid-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that’s available in 400 cc, 250 cc and 125 cc versions, these premium sport models are designed for fast and efficient commuting. Equipped with large diameter wheels for a smooth ride, with powerful front and rear disc brakes fitted with confidence-inspiring ABS as standard, the X-MAX Iron Max models put the style into lifestyle.
