Lexmoto Venom 125

The latest bike to feature in the Lexmoto range the Lexmoto Venom presents itself as the must have bike for new riders. With stylish design which saw it achieve the status as the first motorcycle winner of the Canton Design awards and backed with an ultra-smooth 4 stroke CBB Balance shaft engine it’s hard to dispute the presence of the Lexmoto Venom. The unique design offers an array of stylish features such as a mono rear shock frame and broad tank which portrays a much larger vehicle.

The Venom feels like a supermoto, perching you high and forwards, though the actual seat height is a reasonably low 770 mm. Over 55 mph high frequency vibes thrum through the seat and bars, despite the engine having a balance shaft. The seat itself is as cossetting as a plank of pine, but we can’t imagine many riders buying this machine for long hauls. The CST Magsport tyres are impressive and grip well. The suspension is good enough for the performance and the rear monoshock is preload adjustable. The brakes are very good, especially the twin-pot front disc.

The motor is a revvy little thing that winds up to 11,000 rpm in the two lowest gears, according to the probably optimistic rev counter. It’s still enough for spirited performance, use the revs and the Venom sprints up to an indicated 50-55 mph pretty quickly and will cruise at 60-65. It tops out at an indicated 68 mph and won’t do any more, however flat you lie on the tank.

The Venom features a clear digital speedometer and an intuitive pillion handle system that can adapt into a luggage rack with the use of a small accessory. The handling is aided with a front and rear disc brake combination which produces fantastic stopping power when you need it! An additional feature which is sure to turn heads is the implementation of an MP3 player and speakers which enable you to listen to your favourite songs via a USB or MicroSD card, controlled via a panel on top of the fuel tank.
