Mahindra
Mojo
Mahindra
2Wheelers is gearing up to launch the Mahindra Mojo this month. The
Mojo is powered by a 295 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with iridium
spark plugs. It develops 27 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 30 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm,
and is paired to a 6-speed transmission.
The
tourer gets a 320 mm petal disc up front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. ABS is
not available on the Mojo, though Mahindra are working on introducing an
ABS-equipped model. However, as standard, the Mojo will ride on 110/70 and
150/50 17-inch tyres (front and rear) from Pirelli.
The
Mojo is based on a twin-tube exposed frame and gets an inverted telescopic
suspension up front and a monoshock at the rear. It measures 2,100 mm in
length, 800 mm in width, 1,165.5 mm in height and 1,465 mm in wheelbase.
Mahindra claims the Mojo to have 173.5 mm of ground clearance and a 21 liter
tank. The dry weight of the motorcycle is 165 kg.
The
Mojo is expected to go on sale on October 16. The Mojo will come in three
colors – Black+White, Mahindra Racing Red and Black. Bookings for the motorcycle have already started and
Mahindra is offering an early bird discount for the initial set of customers.
