Porsche
911 Carerra GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition
To
coincide with the fifth annual Porsche Rennsport Reunion, held from the 25th to
the 27th at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Porsche today unveiled a limited edition
model inspired by the event. The 2016 Porsche 911 Carerra GTS Rennsport Reunion
Edition is limited to just 25 examples, all of which will be sold in North
America.
The
Rennsport Reunion Edition starts with the bundle of options from the GTS model
and adds a gray, black, and red color scheme inside and out. The exterior's
Fashion Gray paint is offset by black and red decals on the hood, roof,
decklid, and doors, the latter with Porsche lettering. The 20-inch wheels are
painted high-gloss black, and so are the lower portions of the side mirrors and
the satellite radio antenna. The LED headlights also have black accents.
Inside,
model designation logos appear on the carbon fiber dashboard above the glove
compartment and on the carbon fiber illuminated door-sill guards. The stitching
on the SportDesign steering wheel, door panel trim, dashboard trim, floor mats,
and GTS logo headrests is Carmine Red, a color also used for the tachometer and
seat belts. The Rennsport Reunion V logo is embossed on the center console. The
Fashion Grey paint appears on the key, and Porsche Exclusive, the bespoke arm
of Porsche responsible for the car, is also providing a leather key pouch with
Carmine Red accents and “911 Carrera GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition” lettering.
Like
other GTS models, the Rennsport Edition comes standard with 18-way adaptive
sport seats, the PASM sport suspension, a Bose audio system, and rear parking
sensors, among a host of other features. It is offered only with the
430-horsepower 3.8-liter flat six and seven-speed manual transmission. This
limited edition car goes on sale immediately for a price of US$ 149,330.
