Octavia vRS diesel AWD
Skoda
has added the all-wheel drive option to the Octavia vRS in the UK. The
all-wheel drive models of the vRS variant are available to order now and will
reach showrooms later this year.
On
the outside, the vRS variant features unique bumpers and spoilers apart from
18-inch Gemini anthracite alloy wheels and bi-xenon headlights. The interior
receives a capacitive touchscreen system (with SD card slot) as well as
dual-zone climate control with humidity sensor. Amundsen satellite navigation
system is now standard.
Powering
the Octavia vRS is a 2.0 TDI engine that generates
184 PS and 380 Nm of torque and sends drive to all four wheels through a
four-wheel drive system which is lined to a 6-speed DSG transmission. Skoda
claims a 0-100 km/h time acceleration time of just 7.6 seconds.
The
sporty handling of the Octavia vRS is due to the presence of a multi-link
suspension and electronic differential lock XDS+ which allows for dynamic
cornering, precise steering; among other assistance systems that also enhance
the safety and comfort quotient.
