Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4
Lamborghini has
announced the pricing and specifications for the 2016 Lamborghini Huracan. The
pricing for the 2016 model remains the unchanged at € 169,500 (excluding taxes).
Lamborghini says that
with the 2016 Huracan, it is the first time that cylinder deactivation
technology has been implemented in a naturally aspirated V10 engine. The
5.2-liter V10 engine producing 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque in the Huracan coupe
and Huracan Spyder has received this functionality to improve upon efficiency.
Under light load, one bank of five cylinders is switched off, essentially
making the Huracan a five cylinder car. When the engine senses that more
acceleration is required, it reverts to ten-cylinder mode without the driver
even being able to tell the difference. This feature has resulted in the
supercar giving out reduced CO2 emissions of 283 g/km instead of 290 g/km
previously.
Lamborghini has
fine-tuned the electronically controlled 4WD system which has resulted in a
better, more stable driving, especially in Strada (Road) mode. The interior has
gained leather on the door handles and upper portions of the centre console.
The AC vents have been given an exclusive matt black finish. The company also
mentions that the colour palette has been “significantly enlarged” giving
customer even more exterior colour options to choose from.
Audiophiles can opt for
the optional Sensonum audio system that delivers 390 Watts from its ten
loudspeakers. It boasts of a ten-channel amplifier and an exclusive Sensonum
badge. LED lighting is also now being offered in conjunction with the optional
transparent or carbon-fibre engine lid. More exterior distinction is available
in the optional sports exhaust that can be specified in high gloss black. A travel
pack improves storage space by adding nets at the front and rear.
Customers can indulge
in even more interior personalisation and exterior options that include
heritage colours and matt paints through the brand’s Ad Personam program.
